The idea of cooperation or even unity of all majority European and European descendant countries, also known as ‘The West’ is on principle and in theory a good one. Europeans and their descendants around the world should be working together to increase our power, and therefore freedom.
As the two most populus and powerful (though unequally) entities of the West, the merit of this idea must be analyzed based on the relationship between the USA and Europe. From the perspective of Americans, whether they are identitarians or not, the answer is clear: the US can only benefit from keeping up the current arrangement of things. Whether their own politics is currently pro-white or the opposite doesn’t matter for this question. For them, there are zero downsides to NATO and the unipolar world order, obviously.
From the European perspective this cost-benefit analysis looks very different. The reason for this is that, at the moment, this relationship is totally unbalanced in favor of the US. As a result of post cold war demilitarization and the lack of serious nuclear arms Europe is currently incapable of taking care of its own defense and dependent on NATO and the US. This means the US gets to dictate European foreign policy, it gets to walk right over European interests and so it does.
A strong Europe, capable of acting autonomously and projecting power outwards to fend for its interests is not in the interest of Washington. American economic and geostrategic interests are not aligned with those of Europe. They could be, if a global Pan-Western consciousness existed and the elites around the West had a pro-white agenda. Evidently this is not the case, so instead the US would like to see Europe militarily dependent and economically uncompetitive.
That doesn’t mean that the US is the great Satan or whatever some like to imagine, it just means it rationally pursues foreign policy in its own interest and quite successful at that. Not only that, but the current elites in the US are actively pursuing anti-white politics for various reasons which not only affects whites in the US, but all of the West. The US is also an enforcer of (post-)liberal democracy which is implicitly anti-white.
Finally, close economic and political ties between Europe and the US also means a high cultural permeability. In recent decades, the US has been the source of phenomenally bad ideas and societal trends: white guilt, negro glorification, the promotion of race-mixing, anti-natalism and insane sexual degeneracy. It might surprise some, but Europe used to be very racist not so long ago, and gender ideology was literally unheard of. While we would have arrived at a similar point sooner or later simply because Europe’s dominant ideology is and has been liberalism as well, the strong cultural influence of the US via American newspapers, TV-shows, Hollywood and even advertisement has dramatically accelerated this development and keeps reinforcing it now.
This is the situation how it presents itself to Europe, and no amount of shitposting will meme a based version of NATO into existence. Not to judge everyone who likes to post memes, I’m also guilty of memeing Macron, Sanna Marin, etc in the past. “Wake up, Joe Biden” is a certified classic. However, especially for us Europeans it is important to keep in mind that unfortunately none of it is a reality. Our goal must be to end European dependence on foreign superpowers and instead to become a superpower once again ourselves. To that end, and for the sake of our own people we must also rid us of the ills of liberalism. And in order to achieve this we must, should we European identitarians be successful in taking over power in Europe, emancipate ourselves from the US.
Now, I’m not naïve enough to believe that our problems would magically disappear if European nations withdrew from NATO. They would not, as our own elites, our own media and yes, even our own population would continue acting against our interests independently of Washington. In fact, our situation would get very much worse if for example Germany suddenly left NATO, because this would completely undermine the possibility of creating European defense capabilities that can replace NATO entirely. If Western European nations defect from the alliance now, Eastern Europe would become even more entrenched in NATO, effectively giving the US even greater leverage to prevent Europe from becoming independent indefinitely. The only way out, towards European self-determination is intensifying European cooperation, building serious defense capabilities that make NATO redundant, and using our combined economic power to negotiate favorable deals. In other words, Pan-Europa.
The non-stop crying about the evil West by some in the DR is childish and counterproductive. When it leads one to assume third-worldist positions or celebrating Russia as a stronghold against Western degeneracy it exposes itself as an utterly ridiculous and delusional position. What is needed, however, is a realist and pragmatic approach. American Pan-Westerns must recognize that the current situation is unacceptable for Europe, and Europeans themselves must not let the vision of a future in which the white world is united cloud their judgement of the present. A careful, rational and result-oriented strategy is needed in order to bring about a balance of power that opens the door for a new cooperation.
Until we either reach a situation where we can meet the US as equals in terms of power, or the politics in the US undergoes a radical shift, we Europeans must say no to transatlanticism.
